Operations Assistant I

About the role

The Operations Assistant I supports daily construction and plant activities by preparing work sites, handling materials, and assisting foremen. This entry‑level position provides on‑the‑job training and offers exposure to both construction and industrial environments.

Key responsibilities

• Report to the Foreman or General Foreman and follow assigned instructions.
• Move materials and equipment to designated work locations and set up the work site.
• Prepare construction sites, pour and spread concrete, set forms, and finish surfaces.
• Participate in routine and turnaround plant maintenance projects.
• Support plant production by receiving and shipping materials and products.
• Complete records, maintain tools and equipment, and perform clean‑up and housekeeping tasks.
• Observe and follow all safety rules, including the use of required personal protective equipment.
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisors.

Required profile

• No prior specialized knowledge or experience is required; training will be provided on the job.
• Ability to read and interpret basic instructions and procedures.
• Physical capability to handle materials, operate equipment, and perform manual tasks.
• Commitment to safety and willingness to wear required protective gear.
