OT/AIoT Engineer – Industrial Connectivity

About the role

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is seeking an OT/AIoT Engineer to design, develop and integrate industrial connectivity solutions for its clients in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on bridging operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT) environments within process industries.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and integrate solutions across DCS, PLC, SCADA, OPC‑UA and industrial historian platforms.
• Configure secure edge connectivity for real‑time and historical data exchange between OT and IT systems.
• Manage industrial communication protocols, network segmentation, access control, backup/recovery and OT cybersecurity measures.
• Troubleshoot data quality, latency, connectivity and availability issues in plant environments.
• Interpret PFDs, P&IDs, control narratives, cause‑and‑effect diagrams, instrument indexes, datasheets and network drawings.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with DCS, PLC, SCADA, OPC‑UA and industrial historian tools.
• Strong understanding of process control networks, tag structures, alarms/events and time synchronization.
• Ability to secure edge devices, manage firewalls, certificates, identity/access and disaster recovery.
• Good analytical skills to resolve connectivity and data integrity problems.
• Preferably experience in refinery or continuous‑process industries.
