Piping Engineer

About the role

Fluor is seeking Piping Engineers at all levels, from Junior to Lead, to support the design, analysis, and execution of piping systems on complex projects. The role involves developing technical deliverables, performing calculations, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe and cost‑effective solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop or review piping specifications, design criteria, line lists, and material selections.
• Perform piping calculations, layout development, isometric reviews, and material takeoffs.
• Support equipment interface design, procurement activities, and piping system coordination.
• Review vendor data and piping documentation for compliance with codes and project requirements.
• Identify and resolve engineering or design issues appropriate to experience level.
• Contribute to planning, scheduling, and discipline coordination, with increased responsibility at senior and lead levels.

Required profile

• Four‑year engineering degree or equivalent; additional experience required for senior or lead positions.
• Knowledge of piping engineering principles and applicable codes.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work accurately in a fast‑paced, project‑driven environment.
• Proficiency with piping design tools, spreadsheets, and standard engineering software; field experience preferred.
