Project Director – Facilities Management

About the role

We are looking for a Project Director with extensive experience in Facilities Management to lead governance and client advisory for FM delivery across major projects or portfolios. The role ensures safe, compliant, high‑performing hard and soft services while driving client engagement, financial control, risk management and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead client governance, senior stakeholder engagement and provide strategic advisory.
• Direct mobilization, resource strategy, succession planning and promote a high‑performance culture.
• Oversee hard services (HVAC, electrical, ELV, BMS, fire protection) and soft services (housekeeping, pest control, waste management, landscaping).
• Ensure compliance with standards such as SFG20, NFPA, CIBSE, ASHRAE, BICSc and ISO.
• Manage budget control, forecasting, cost optimisation and commercial risk.
• Maintain the project risk register, business continuity planning and incident management.
• Produce executive‑level reports and drive digital transformation initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 + years experience in Facilities Management (hard and soft services).
• 5–7 years in a client‑side consultancy or managing‑agent role working with FM contractors.
• Proven track record managing large‑scale, high‑profile or VVIP facilities in government or corporate sectors.
• Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering or related field; postgraduate degree preferred.
• Professional certifications such as CFM, FMP, PMP/PRINCE2 desirable.

• CAFM/CMMS platforms – Maximo or equivalent.
• Data visualisation and reporting – Power BI, enterprise reporting tools.
• Portfolio risk and ERP integration tools.
• Governance systems and performance frameworks.
