Project Manager – EV Charging & Smart Building Technology

About the role

WSP Middle East is seeking an experienced Project Manager – EV Charging & Smart Building Technology to lead the delivery of innovative electric mobility and smart infrastructure projects across the region. The role involves working on major developments, smart cities, transportation programmes, airports, mixed‑use projects and sustainable mobility initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of EV charging infrastructure projects from concept through design, construction, testing and commissioning.
• Oversee implementation of AC and DC charging networks, fleet electrification, charging hubs and smart energy solutions.
• Manage Smart Building Technology systems including BMS, IBMS, ICT, ELV, security, access control, CCTV, smart lighting, IoT platforms and digital building solutions.
• Act as primary client interface, handling scope, programme, budget and stakeholder expectations.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across electrical engineering, ICT, digital technology, sustainability and specialist design disciplines.
• Monitor performance, identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Building Services Engineering or related discipline.
• 12+ years' experience delivering EV charging, e‑mobility, smart cities, smart buildings or technology‑led infrastructure projects.

Required skills

• EV charging systems (AC & DC), power distribution, renewable energy integration, battery energy storage systems.
