QA/QC Civil Engineer (Saudi Energy Approval Preferred)

About the role

The QA/QC Civil Engineer will lead quality assurance and control activities for civil projects, ensuring compliance with Alfanar’s Quality Management System and client specifications. The role involves coordinating inspections, preparing quality documentation, and driving continuous improvement on site.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the Project Quality Plan and Alfanar QMS, including inspections, testing, and coordination with clients, consultants and vendors.
• Maintain and update system manuals, standards, technical data sheets, ITPs and all relevant quality records such as logbooks, weekly reports and NCRs.
• Prepare quality documents (ITP, MOS, checklists, QA/QC weekly reports) and ensure their approval by consultants.
• Conduct site inspections, material receiving inspections, and verify that all equipment and materials meet contract and standard requirements.
• Coordinate with the execution team, project management, and independent testing laboratories to resolve QC issues and report findings to the TQM department.

Required profile

• Experience training and leading a team of sub‑ordinates to achieve quality objectives.
• Strong leadership, coaching and delegation skills to ensure fair task distribution and maintain team morale.
• Ability to resolve operational problems, escalate complex issues and provide clear reports on deviations.
• Commitment to health, safety, environmental and quality compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office for reporting and documentation.
• Hands‑on experience with Quality Management System (QMS) implementation and inspection procedures.
• Operation and calibration of inspection and testing equipment used on civil construction sites.
