Senior Android Engineer – Saudi Based

About the role

We are a fast‑growing startup looking for a Senior Android Engineer to join our Saudi‑based team. You will work with the latest technologies, including Kotlin and a modern code base, to build high‑quality mobile applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain performant Android applications.
• Collaborate with backend and design teams to define and ship new features.
• Conduct code reviews and optimise existing code for efficiency.
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve technical issues.
• Stay current with Android development trends, tools and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience delivering Android applications.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and eagerness to learn new technologies.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Kotlin and Kotlin‑Native development.
• Async/await programming model.
• Integration with RESTful APIs and OAuth2 authentication.
• Solid understanding of Android design principles and Human Interface Guidelines.
• Unit and UI testing using frameworks such as Mockito.
• Experience with map SDKs (MapLibre, Google Maps, Apple Maps, ESRI, etc.).
