Senior Civil Engineer – Construction Supervision

About the role

WSP is looking for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join its Construction Supervision team in Riyadh. The role focuses on delivering major roads and highways infrastructure projects across Saudi Arabia, ensuring that all works meet technical, contractual, and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor civil construction activities for roads, highways, interchanges, drainage, utilities and related infrastructure.
• Review contractor work methods, schedules, shop drawings, method statements and material submittals.
• Identify and mitigate risks, delays or technical issues that could affect project delivery.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and quality checks, and verify completed works against project specifications.
• Coordinate with quality teams to manage NCRs, corrective actions and testing/commissioning procedures.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, authorities and utility agencies, supporting the Resident Engineer in technical discussions.
• Prepare technical reports, progress updates, site instructions and project correspondence.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with HSE requirements on site.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years (120 months) of experience in civil engineering, specifically in large‑scale highway, roadway, interchange and bridge projects.
• Proven experience in construction supervision and project delivery within the infrastructure sector.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi Arabian construction standards and regulations.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder management and reporting.
