Senior Materials Engineer

About the role

Parsons Corporation is seeking a Senior Materials Engineer to lead material‑related initiatives on large‑scale construction projects in Saudi Arabia. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that concrete mix designs and other construction materials meet project specifications, safety standards, and sustainability goals.

Key responsibilities

• Review and assess concrete mix designs for compliance with project requirements and applicable codes.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to develop material improvement programs that enhance safety, quality, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Conduct design reviews, material investigations, inspections, and testing to verify contractor‑selected materials and construction processes.
• Recommend appropriate materials for specific engineering and construction applications, evaluating durability, sustainability, conductivity, and environmental resistance.
• Identify non‑conforming materials, maintain quality records, and ensure corrective actions are closed out.
• Provide technical support on material performance issues and approve contractor quality plans and testing results.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in materials engineering, civil or construction engineering.
• Strong analytical problem‑solving abilities and knowledge of material compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and manage quality assurance processes.
