Senior Network Design & Implementation Engineer

About the role

The Senior Network Design & Implementation Engineer will lead the architecture, design, deployment and testing of enterprise‑grade network, edge security and SD‑WAN solutions based on the Fortinet Security Fabric. Reporting to the infrastructure leadership team, you will translate complex connectivity and compliance requirements into detailed designs and automated implementations for a multi‑regional environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design scalable FortiGate Secure SD‑WAN topologies (Hub‑and‑Spoke, Full Mesh, ADVPN) with automated BGP routing and application steering policies.
• Create High‑Level and Low‑Level Design documents, IP/VLAN schemes, topology diagrams and Bills of Materials.
• Configure, stage and deploy physical and virtual FortiGate appliances using FortiManager for centralized policy control.
• Develop migration plans, Method‑of‑Procedure documents, cut‑over playbooks and rollback strategies for legacy firewall and WAN replacements.
• Implement secure cloud edge connectivity, including FortiGate‑VM deployments in Azure and integration with Transit Gateways.
• Integrate FortiSwitch and FortiAP devices via FortiLink to provide unified management.
• Build and maintain standardized CLI scripts and automation templates for repeatable deployments.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in enterprise network design and implementation.
• Proven expertise with Fortinet solutions (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiSwitch, FortiAP).
• Strong knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), VPN technologies (IPsec, ADVPN) and SD‑WAN concepts.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure, and virtual firewall deployments.
• Ability to produce detailed design documentation and lead migration projects.
