Senior Network & Systems Engineer – Lead (OTS)

About the role

As a Senior Network & Systems Engineer – Lead you will use your technical expertise to design, build, implement and improve technology solutions across multiple sites in a defined region. You will manage large‑scale projects with minimal guidance, resolve critical incidents, and expand your knowledge into software design patterns, data structures, AWS and distributed systems.

Key responsibilities

• Drive network excellence through advanced engineering, troubleshooting and systems administration across several facilities.
• Maintain critical systems uptime and act as the first escalation point for complex issues.
• Plan and coordinate Change Management processes and templates for the region.
• Lead regional technical projects from conception to completion, collaborating with internal teams and external vendors.
• Automate manual tasks and develop tools to increase team efficiency.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis, lead continuous‑improvement initiatives and maintain technical documentation and SOPs.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, training and mentoring of junior engineers.
• Provide on‑call support beyond business hours to minimise downtime and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Required profile

• 3+ years of IT client, server and network service delivery.
• 4+ years of experience in IT systems or commercial production environments.
• 4+ years of networking experience (DNS, DHCP, SSL/TLS, OSI model, TCP/IP, VLANs, subnetting, routing protocols).
• 4+ years of Windows Server, Linux administration or Cisco IOS (CLI) experience.
• Proven troubleshooting skills in multi‑user, high‑availability environments.
• Experience with new site launches and end‑to‑end IT infrastructure deployments.
