Senior Personal Data Protection Specialist

About the role

Master Works is looking for a Senior Personal Data Protection Specialist to lead the design, implementation and maintenance of privacy and data protection practices across the organization. The role works closely with legal, risk, information security and technology teams to ensure personal data is managed securely throughout its lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Support implementation and continuous improvement of the organization’s personal data protection and privacy framework.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable data protection laws, regulations, policies and standards.
• Develop, review and maintain data protection policies, procedures, guidelines and controls.
• Identify, assess and mitigate personal data protection and privacy risks.
• Collaborate with Information Security, Risk, Legal, IT and business teams on data protection initiatives.
• Provide guidance and training to stakeholders on privacy requirements and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Law or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in data protection, privacy, information security or related disciplines.
• Experience working with data protection policies, frameworks and compliance requirements.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of personal data protection laws, regulations and compliance requirements.
• Understanding of data classification, handling, retention and secure processing practices.
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical policies and controls.
• Preferred certifications: Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) and Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT).
