Sr. Associate I, Regulatory Affairs Strategy

About the role

The Sr. Associate I, Regulatory Affairs Strategy will support Alcon’s regulatory activities across the Middle East, ensuring compliance and facilitating market access for medical products. This position works closely with cross‑functional teams to align regulatory strategies with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute regulatory strategies for new and existing products in the Middle East region.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of local and EU regulations and ensure product submissions meet all requirements.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external authorities to obtain and sustain product approvals.
• Provide regulatory guidance to project teams, influencing decisions without direct hierarchical authority.
• Support the preparation of regulatory dossiers, risk assessments, and post‑market surveillance activities.

Required profile

• Education: Bachelor or Master degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related scientific field.
• Languages: Fluent in English and Arabic (reading, writing, speaking).
• Experience: Minimum 3 years in a Regulatory Affairs role within the Middle East for a multinational medical company.
• Preferable understanding of EU regulations.

Required skills

• Extensive knowledge of Regulatory Affairs processes, organization and legislation in the Middle East.
• Strong collaboration ability within matrix and partnership environments.
• Ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
