Sr. Materials and Corrosion Engineer (Offshore)

About the role

KBR, Inc. is seeking a senior Materials and Corrosion Engineer to join its offshore team in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on ensuring asset integrity through material selection, corrosion prevention, and compliance with Aramco and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead brownfield and greenfield offshore projects, managing bids, execution, resources and deliverables.
• Develop corrosion management programs, material selection reports, coating selection diagrams and corrosion loop diagrams.
• Perform corrosion assessments on pipelines, piping and equipment, preferably using ECE‑5 software.
• Provide technical support for OSI, RBI, and corrosion inspection manuals, resolve technical queries and material substitution approvals.
• Review technical bid evaluations, non‑material requirements, integrity assessment reports and ILI data.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of offshore engineering experience with a degree in engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Aramco standards, NACE requirements, API 579, BS DNV RP F101, ASME B31.3/4/8, ISO 15156 and ISO 21457.
• Experience in water injection, HPHT, sour‑gas fields and coating systems such as APCS and internal FBE.
• Proven background in pre‑FEED, FEED, detailed design, EPC and PMC roles.

• Corrosion modelling, cathodic protection and damage‑mechanism analysis.
• Material grades, alloy selection, heat treatment and weld engineering.
• Non‑metallic material assessments and selection.
• Use of ECE‑5 software for corrosion assessment.
• RBI, OSI and technical query resolution.
