STEAM Coordinator Teacher

About the role

The STEAM Coordinator Teacher will lead the design and delivery of hands‑on, project‑based learning experiences for students after school and beyond the classroom. Reporting to school leadership, the role supports inquiry‑driven education and promotes equity and excellence across all STEAM disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement and evaluate after‑school and out‑of‑school STEAM programs, including camps, field trips, community service projects and workshops.
• Advocate for inquiry‑based and problem‑solving learning approaches.
• Coach teachers on instructional methods and project‑based curriculum integration.
• Develop and communicate a shared vision of equitable STEAM learning for all students.
• Serve as a resource for faculty and administrators, sourcing traditional and digital materials that support the curriculum.
• Collaborate with community organisations to expand co‑curricular programming that enhances student success.
• Research, plan and organise school‑wide STEAM or science fairs.
• Assess, record and report student progress and development.
• Communicate with parents during meetings and as needed, providing feedback on student performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in education, STEM, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience designing or delivering STEAM programs (preferred).
