Structure Design Engineer - Bridges

About the role

We are seeking a Structure Design Engineer specialized in steel bridges to lead the design, analysis and delivery of bridge projects from concept through construction and close‑out. The role involves developing innovative solutions for complex urban and highway corridors while ensuring compliance with Saudi and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design, analysis and detailed design of steel bridge structures across all project phases.
• Develop practical engineering solutions for urban transportation and highway networks.
• Coordinate bridge designs with multidisciplinary teams (highways, utilities, traffic, drainage, geotechnical, construction).
• Perform structural analysis, design calculations, technical reviews and independent verification.
• Provide construction support: respond to technical queries, review shop drawings, method statements, temporary works proposals and material submittals.
• Conduct site inspections, monitor construction activities and ensure compliance with designs, specifications, quality and safety standards.
• Review contractor submissions and oversee erection, launching, rehabilitation, strengthening and maintenance works.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership within bridge design and supervision teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in steel bridge design, analysis and construction supervision.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and manage complex projects.
• Strong problem‑solving skills to resolve design and construction issues.
