Systems Administrator – Manager / Advisor

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Systems Administrator – Manager / Advisor to lead and support our IT infrastructure in Riyadh. This position blends hands‑on administration with strategic leadership, ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable services for the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the administration and maintenance of Windows and Linux servers, virtualization platforms, and cloud environments.
• Monitor system performance, capacity, and overall infrastructure reliability.
• Implement and maintain IT security, patch management, firewall, and vulnerability management practices.
• Manage backup solutions and disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity.
• Automate administrative and infrastructure processes using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Lead infrastructure projects and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior IT team members.
• Maintain accurate system documentation, technical procedures, and performance reports.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to support infrastructure improvements and technology initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in systems administration, including at least 2 years in a managerial or advisory capacity.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Hands‑on experience with Linux environments.
• Experience with AWS or Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Solid understanding of networking, cybersecurity, backup, and disaster recovery.
• Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, or Python scripting.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS, VCP, RHCE, MCSE, ITIL) are a plus.
