Technical Manager

About the role

The Technical Manager leads the technical and engineering team throughout the construction project lifecycle, ensuring all engineering deliverables meet project specifications, codes, standards and quality and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the technical and engineering team across the project.
• Review, coordinate and approve engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, submittals, method statements, material submissions and shop drawings.
• Ensure compliance with approved project requirements, applicable codes, standards and regulations.
• Coordinate technical matters with consultants, clients, subcontractors and internal departments.
• Manage the RFI process and resolve technical queries promptly.
• Assess design changes, variations and technical proposals for cost, schedule and constructability impact.
• Monitor progress of engineering deliverables and maintain accurate technical documentation.
• Support project planning, cost control, procurement and construction from a technical perspective.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Architectural, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Relevant professional engineering registration or certifications (e.g., PMP) preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in technical and engineering management within construction projects.
