Technical Project Specialist

About the role

The Technical Project Specialist will supervise low‑budget or low‑risk technical projects for Saudi Telecom Company (STC) and support administrative tasks for higher‑budget or higher‑risk initiatives. The role ensures projects stay on schedule, within budget, and comply with STC standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day team operations within a defined scope, ensuring accuracy of work processes.
• Support team members and resolve routine queries to maintain work continuity.
• Help develop comprehensive project plans for low‑budget/low‑risk projects and establish project management processes.
• Supervise junior staff in monitoring internal and external contractors, ensuring scope compliance.
• Assess project health against schedules and budgets, reporting status and variations to senior management.
• Identify scope changes and assist in planning adjustments under senior guidance.
• Conduct cost‑benefit analyses for future projects and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to secure buy‑in and achieve project objectives.
• Ensure projects comply with relevant management standards, policies, and SOPs.
• Participate in risk identification and support development of mitigation strategies.
• Assist with routine tasks for high‑budget/high‑risk projects under senior direction.
• Prepare standard project management templates for review and approval.
• Support development of guidelines for automated project management tools.
• Lead internal initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiencies in project management.
