Testing & Commissioning Engineer

About the role

The Testing & Commissioning Engineer will lead the verification and start‑up of 380/132/13.8 kV substations, including GIS, switchgear and control‑protection systems. You will ensure that all high‑voltage equipment meets safety and performance standards before it is placed into service.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive testing of high‑voltage substations, GIS, and switchgear to verify compliance with safety and operational specifications.
• Develop and execute detailed testing and commissioning plans aligned with project timelines.
• Analyze test results, identify issues, and provide actionable recommendations to improve system reliability.
• Collaborate with engineering, vendor, and contractor teams to resolve technical challenges during testing.
• Prepare and present detailed test reports for stakeholders and support project decision‑making.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians, sharing best practices and promoting continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in high‑voltage testing and commissioning of substations.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret complex test data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective cross‑functional collaboration.
