Value Engineering Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Value Engineering Specialist to join our Technical Department on a part‑time remote basis. The role focuses on improving project efficiency through functional and cost analysis, delivering innovative engineering solutions that maximise value while maintaining quality and performance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Apply Value Engineering methodologies to analyse project functions, systems and costs, identifying opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality.
• Review designs, drawings and specifications to propose cost‑effective alternatives and support estimation teams.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, procurement and project teams, participating in Value Engineering workshops and coordination meetings.
• Prepare analytical reports, document alternative solutions, assumptions and technical justifications, and present recommendations to management or clients.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Architectural or related field).
• VMA (Value Methodology Associate) certification is mandatory.
• 3–7 years of experience in Value Engineering, cost engineering or design.
• Strong knowledge of Value Engineering methodologies; SAVE certification or equivalent is a plus.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
