Virtualisation Operations Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Virtualisation Operations Engineer to support the day‑to‑day operation and administration of the organization’s virtualization environment. The role will focus on VM provisioning, resource allocation, monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, and operational support across VMware infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Administer VMware ESXi hosts, vCenter, clusters and virtual machines on a daily basis.
• Provision, configure, modify, migrate and de‑commission virtual machines while managing CPU, memory, storage and network resources.
• Monitor performance, capacity and health of the virtualization infrastructure and perform routine health checks.
• Provide L2 support for virtualization incidents, troubleshoot VM performance, connectivity and configuration issues.
• Support patching, upgrades, maintenance and migration activities in line with ITSM change procedures.
• Maintain accurate VM inventory, configuration records and technical documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in virtualization, systems administration or infrastructure operations.
• Hands‑on experience with VMware ESXi and vCenter.
• Basic understanding of server, storage, networking and backup technologies.
• Experience working in ITSM/ITIL environments.
