VRF Technician

About the role

The VRF/VRV Technician will be responsible for operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and installation of VRF/VRV air‑conditioning systems across client facilities in Saudi Arabia. The role ensures safe, efficient performance and compliance with AtkinsRéalis HSE and client standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of VRF/VRV systems.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and control faults.
• Install, commission and test VRF/VRV units and related equipment.
• Carry out refrigerant recovery, charging, leak testing, pressure testing and vacuuming.
• Conduct routine inspections and performance checks on indoor/outdoor units, sensors, compressors, condensers and evaporators.
• Read and interpret HVAC drawings, schematics and technical manuals.
• Monitor equipment condition and recommend corrective actions.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency maintenance requests.
• Complete maintenance reports, work orders and equipment logs accurately.
• Ensure compliance with HSE and safety procedures and coordinate with supervisors and engineering teams.

Required profile

• Diploma/ITI/Technical certification in HVAC, Refrigeration, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience with VRF/VRV systems in commercial, residential, hospitality or healthcare environments; GCC experience preferred.
• Strong problem‑solving ability, customer‑focused attitude and effective communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a technical team.
