Head of IT Infrastructure & Operations

About the role

The Head of IT Infrastructure & Operations will lead the design, implementation and management of the technical foundations supporting a micro‑finance platform, including Core Banking (Temenos), gateway APIs and cloud environments. The role focuses on moving from manual deployments to Infrastructure as Code while ensuring compliance with Saudi financial regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and manage scalable, secure cloud infrastructure with tenancy‑level administration.
• Oversee OpenShift (Kubernetes) clusters to guarantee high performance for critical banking applications.
• Implement identity domain user/group management and IAM policies for production access.
• Manage virtualization and storage systems (VMware) to optimise resource utilisation.
• Enforce Infrastructure as Code using Terraform across hybrid cloud environments.
• Set up and maintain GitLab servers and runners to support CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate application builds, testing and deployment through continuous delivery pipelines.
• Use YAML for configuration management to ensure accurate application settings.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in IT infrastructure and operations, preferably within banking or financial services.
• Demonstrated ability to drive IaC adoption and maintain strict regulatory compliance.
• Strong understanding of core banking platforms (e.g., Temenos) and API gateways.

Required skills

• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and general cloud platforms.
• Kubernetes (OpenShift), Helm and Docker.
• Linux, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server administration.
• Terraform, GitLab CI/CD and Ansible.
• VMware virtualization.
• MySQL, PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server deployment, tuning and replication.
