Operations Officer – Logistics & Freight Forwarding

About the role

Fastgate Logistics is seeking an Operations Officer to lead daily logistics and freight forwarding activities in Jeddah. The role focuses on coordinating with customs authorities, ensuring accurate documentation, and monitoring cargo movements to guarantee timely and compliant deliveries.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily logistics and freight forwarding operations.
• Coordinate with customs authorities and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Prepare and verify all required documentation for shipments.
• Monitor cargo tracking systems and resolve operational issues.
• Maintain high standards of efficiency, confidentiality and regulatory alignment.
• Support budgeting and cost‑optimization initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong operations management and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and authority liaison.
• Knowledge of finance to manage budgets and optimize logistics costs.
• Proven ability to work in a structured, deadline‑driven environment.
• Familiarity with customs regulations and supply‑chain procedures (advantageous).
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
