Construction Manager – EPCm Project in Saint Nazaire

About the role

We are seeking a Construction Manager to lead the planning and execution of construction activities for an EPCm industrial project located in Saint‑Nazaire, France. The role spans the full project life‑cycle from mobilization through mechanical completion and commissioning, ensuring safety, quality, schedule and cost objectives are met.

Key responsibilities

• Define constructability during the detailed design phase and ensure the project is execution‑ready.
• Develop, monitor and control detailed construction schedules, aligning field work with material delivery, commissioning milestones and plant shutdowns.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary contractors, site teams and external stakeholders, managing interfaces with commissioning and operations.
• Manage HSE and quality assurance programmes, enforce permit‑to‑work systems and handle non‑conformance.
• Track progress, productivity and subcontractor payments, optimise resource utilisation and implement recovery plans.
• Identify, assess and mitigate construction risks, enforce change control and resolve critical issues promptly.
• Oversee documentation, reporting and hand‑over activities to ensure commissioning readiness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (relevant engineering or construction discipline).
• Proven experience leading construction activities in an EPCm environment.
• Strong knowledge of safety, quality, schedule and cost control processes.
• Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and complex stakeholder interfaces.
