Contract Manager – Railway Signalling Projects

About the role

Hitachi Rail is expanding its Legal, Contracts & Compliance team in Saudi Arabia to support large‑scale railway signalling projects. The Contract Manager will oversee the full lifecycle of contractual activities, ensuring compliance, risk mitigation, and commercial protection throughout project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead contract management from award through close‑out for railway signalling projects.
• Ensure compliance with contractual terms, corporate policies, and applicable legal frameworks.
• Provide commercial and contractual guidance to project directors, engineering teams, and senior management.
• Identify, assess, and manage contractual risks and opportunities, implementing mitigation strategies.
• Manage contractual correspondence, notifications, and documentation with clients, partners, and subcontractors.
• Prepare, evaluate, and negotiate contract variations, change orders, and claims.
• Support claims and dispute resolution strategies, including negotiation and settlement.
• Monitor project performance against contractual obligations and coordinate with legal, finance, procurement, and project management teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in contract management for large infrastructure or railway projects.
• Strong understanding of contractual law, commercial risk, and dispute avoidance.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and external partners.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
