Head of Information Technology

About the role

The Head of Information Technology leads the IT function, shaping strategy, managing infrastructure, and ensuring alignment with business goals. Reporting to senior management, this role collaborates with business owners, external vendors, and advisors while overseeing the IT team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to the IT team, ensuring efficient delivery of all IT services.
• Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and controls across the organization.
• Conduct IT due diligence for potential acquisitions or partnerships.
• Manage outsourced IT projects and vendor agreements to ensure compliance and performance.
• Supervise daily IT operations and align infrastructure with current and future business requirements.
• Prepare and manage IT budgets, forecasts, and cost‑effectiveness initiatives.
• Evaluate risk, design network recovery and backup processes, and oversee hardware procurement.
• Ensure all IT activities comply with applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
• Support other departments on technology‑related projects and provide regular reports to the Operations Executive Director.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, MIS, or a related field.
• 10–13 years of experience in information technology, including leadership roles.
• Fluency in English and Arabic.
• Professional certifications such as CGEIT, CCNA, or CISSP are preferred.
