Health, Safety & Environment Officer

About the role

The Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Officer will support Alfanar’s manufacturing hub in Riyadh by ensuring compliance with company HSE policies, monitoring workplace health, safety and environmental conditions, and assisting in incident reporting and investigations.

Key responsibilities

• Report employee illnesses, health concerns and ensure welfare is addressed.
• Observe and enforce proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) according to job requirements.
• Identify potential risks, assist in hazard identification, risk assessment and control (HIRARC) updates.
• Measure factory noise levels and recommend corrective actions or PPE.
• Document incidents, near‑misses and accidents; support basic investigations and suggest control measures.
• Gather employee safety suggestions and contribute to toolbox meetings, drills and awareness sessions.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Safety Engineering or a related field.
• 2‑4 years of relevant experience (or 0‑2 years for fresh graduates).
• Ability to collaborate with teams, communicate effectively and follow directions.
• Problem‑solving mindset with capacity to escalate complex issues.
• Commitment to quality, compliance and safety procedures.
