Safety Supervisor - HSE

About the role

The Safety Supervisor will lead the implementation, monitoring and enforcement of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies on a solar project site. The aim is to achieve zero accidents while ensuring compliance with legal, client and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Implement project‑specific HSE plans, procedures and method statements.
• Ensure compliance with local safety regulations, client standards and company HSE policies.
• Conduct daily site safety inspections and report unsafe acts or conditions.
• Carry out Job Safety Analyses (JSA) and risk assessments for solar installation, electrical work, working at height, lifting and excavation activities.
• Monitor and stop unsafe work practices during panel installation, structure erection, DC/AC electrical works, inverter installation and cable trenching.
• Deliver site safety inductions, toolbox talks and safety meetings for workers, subcontractors and visitors.
• Report, investigate and document accidents, near‑misses and unsafe conditions, preparing corrective action plans.
• Maintain HSE records, permits, checklists and inspection logs; prepare regular safety reports.
• Develop and test emergency response plans, conduct mock drills and ensure fire‑fighting and first‑aid equipment is available.

Required profile

• Knowledge of local safety regulations and client HSE standards.
• Experience conducting Job Safety Analyses and risk assessments on construction sites.
• Ability to lead safety inductions, toolbox talks and promote a safety culture.
