Senior/Lead Software Engineer - Backend

About the role

We are looking for a Senior/Lead Backend Software Engineer to own the design, development, and operation of the backend systems powering our Decision Intelligence platform. You will work on core microservices, API layers, data architecture, and event‑driven pipelines, taking full responsibility for what you ship.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain modular backend components, both synchronous and event‑driven.
• Build and manage highly‑available APIs (RESTful, GraphQL, gRPC) with versioning, rate limiting, and caching.
• Design database schemas, optimize queries, and ensure data integrity across relational and NoSQL stores.
• Implement containerized deployments using Docker, ECS/EKS, and AWS services.
• Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting for production services.
• Collaborate with frontend, data, platform, and DevOps teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Mentor mid‑level and junior engineers and contribute to architectural decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of professional software engineering experience with a strong backend focus.
• Proven track record of building production‑grade systems.

Required skills

• Java and Kotlin programming.
• Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security, Spring Cloud.
• Microservices and event‑driven architecture.
• API design (REST, GraphQL, gRPC).
• AWS services: ECS, Lambda, SQS/SNS, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, API Gateway.
• Relational and NoSQL databases: PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB, Redis, AWS Aurora.
• Docker and Kubernetes (EKS) container orchestration.
• Experience with CI/CD, monitoring, and security best practices.
