Business Development Manager – Waste Management (Riyadh)

About the role

Averda is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth of its waste management and environmental services in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on identifying new market opportunities, building client relationships, and delivering tailored solutions that turn waste into value.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders to increase market penetration.
• Identify, originate, and capture revenue‑generating opportunities.
• Create sales frameworks and marketing campaigns to support customer acquisition and retention.
• Target and convert a defined customer base to grow market share.
• Plan and oversee new marketing initiatives and research potential clients.
• Lead and manage a team, ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance.
• Conduct risk management and financial analysis for business proposals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration; MBA is advantageous.
• Minimum 10 years of management‑level experience, with at least 5 years in a customer‑facing role.
• Mandatory experience in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; waste‑management or environmental‑services background is a plus.
• Fluent English; Arabic or Urdu is advantageous.
• Strong commercial awareness, analytical, problem‑solving and organizational abilities.
