Camp Boss – Remote Oilfield Catering & Rig Services

About the role

The Camp Boss oversees the complete operation of remote life‑support camps that serve drilling rigs and oilfield activities. This position ensures high‑volume catering, housekeeping, laundry and maintenance are delivered safely, efficiently and to international quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily kitchen operations, menu planning and enforce HACCP‑based food safety protocols.
• Coordinate accommodation logistics, housekeeping and laundry services for multinational rig crews.
• Control inventories of food, chemicals, linen and equipment; liaise with supply‑chain for timely deliveries.
• Implement cost‑control measures on portions, utilities and supplies while preparing regular operational reports.
• Lead, train and motivate a multicultural camp team and act as the primary on‑site contact for the client’s rig manager.
• Ensure strict HSE compliance, conduct toolbox talks, PPE checks and lead emergency response drills.

Required profile

• Valid medical fitness clearance for oil‑and‑gas environments.
• Food Handler certification or ability to obtain a local municipality health card.
• Proven experience managing remote camps or large‑scale catering operations.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and emergency response procedures.
• Ability to work long hours in high‑temperature, isolated locations.
