Electrical Draftsman – Transmission & Distribution Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Draftsman to produce high‑quality drawings for transmission and distribution projects. You will work closely with engineering teams to translate design concepts into detailed construction documents that meet client and quality‑management standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate electrical drawings for LV, MV, HV and EHV substations, covering control, protection, metering and monitoring systems.
• Maintain drafting documentation in compliance with the project QMS and client guidelines.
• Apply industry best practices and relevant codes while producing and reviewing drawings.
• Coordinate with design engineers to ensure drawings reflect the latest design calculations and settings.

Required profile

• B.Tech or DAE in Electrical Engineering Technology.
• 8–10 years of drafting experience on T&D projects.
• Familiarity with IEC, IEEE, BS, SASO and local Saudi standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation, Building Designer, DIGSI, PCM600, MICOM AGILE, Envista and SEL software.
• Strong knowledge of SAS system, IED relays, IEC 61850, SCADA interfaces.
• Experience with control‑protection schemes, CT/PT calculations and relay setting calculations.
