Restaurant Hostess

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and professional Hostess to be the first point of contact for guests at our vibrant upper‑casual dining restaurant. The role involves creating a warm welcome, managing the flow of guests, and ensuring a smooth dining experience from arrival to departure.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
• Manage reservations and walk‑in guests using the restaurant’s reservation system.
• Escort guests to their tables, present menus, and keep them informed of wait times.
• Coordinate seating flow with servers and managers to optimise table turnover.
• Maintain cleanliness of menus, reception area and host station.
• Answer telephone calls and respond promptly to guest inquiries.
• Track table availability and waitlists during busy periods and update the manager on duty.
• Follow all restaurant policies and procedural protocols.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a similar role in an upper‑casual or fine‑dining environment is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional appearance with a warm, welcoming attitude.
• Fluency in English and Arabic.
• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
