Service Technician – Power Transformer Field Service

About the role

The Service Technician 1 will deliver on‑site technical services for power transformers, ensuring reliable and safe operation at customer locations across the Kingdom. You will install, maintain, test and troubleshoot both oil‑filled and dry‑type transformers while providing clear technical reports.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct inspections and diagnose faults in power transformers at customer sites.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on oil‑filled and dry‑type transformers.
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Use specialized testing equipment such as TTR, insulation resistance meters, SFRA and DGA analyzers.
• Prepare detailed technical reports after each service visit.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures.
• Communicate with customers to understand requirements and propose solutions.
• Support installation, testing and commissioning activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of service processes.
• Travel within the Kingdom as required.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology.
• 2–4 years of experience with power transformers or related field service work.
• CAPM certification is a plus.
• Valid Saudi driving licence.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.

Required skills

• Operation and maintenance of power transformers.
• Use of transformer testing equipment: TTR, insulation resistance, SFRA, DGA.
• Interpretation of electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Technical reporting and use of MS Office.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and digital tools.
