Cloud Engineer (VMware & OpenShift)

About the role

We are looking for a Cloud Engineer to design and deliver a scalable, secure private cloud platform based on VMware and OpenShift. The role will own the architecture, build, and onboarding phases, ensuring the solution is production‑ready, standardized and complies with security and governance policies.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement end‑to‑end private cloud infrastructure and container platforms.
• Create high‑level and low‑level designs (HLD/LLD) and build core platforms (VMware, OpenShift).
• Integrate the cloud with enterprise systems such as networking, security, and ITSM tools.
• Define standards for scalability, availability, and security, aligning with cyber‑security and governance requirements.
• Deploy and configure the VMware stack (vSphere, vCenter, NSX‑T, vSAN) and implement disaster‑recovery architecture.
• Design and roll out cloud management components (vRA, vRO, vROps) and automation workflows (vRO, Ansible, APIs).
• Enable self‑service provisioning and service catalog integration via ServiceNow and vRA.
• Build reusable templates, blueprints and standardized deployment packages.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience with OpenShift/Kubernetes architecture and administration.
• Proven expertise in container networking, CNI plugins and multi‑cluster connectivity.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, automation frameworks (Ansible, Helm, ArgoCD) and GitOps practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
