Cluster Chief Accountant

About the role

The Cluster Chief Accountant reports to the Assistant Director of Finance and leads the accounting function for a hotel cluster. The role ensures accurate maintenance of the General Ledger and Sub‑Ledgers, prepares monthly and yearly financial reports, and supervises the accounting team.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the General Ledger and Sub‑Ledgers, including accounts receivable and payable.
• Prepare and post journal and journal‑voucher entries, including recurring, prepaid, and accrued expenses.
• Review payroll calculations, post labor expenses, and calculate related taxes and benefits.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations and monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Compile trial balances, obtain approvals, and produce monthly financial statements.
• Assist with fixed‑asset and inventory counts, and support internal and external audits.
• Supervise the A/P Supervisor, A/R Supervisor, and Income Auditor.
• Provide guidance on accounting processes and recommend improvements.
• Act as the Assistant Director of Finance during absences.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of hotel accounting and taxation.
• Experience supervising accounting staff.
• Ability to work within predefined budget limits.
