Database Administrator – 6+ Years Experience (Contract)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Database Specialist to manage and optimise our enterprise databases. The role focuses on ensuring reliability, performance, security and delivering accurate business information through reporting and automation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain enterprise databases such as Oracle, SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
• Design, administer, tune performance, backup, recover and troubleshoot databases.
• Develop and optimise SQL queries, stored procedures and other database objects.
• Support data quality, integration, migration and governance initiatives.
• Create and maintain MIS reports, dashboards and automated reporting solutions.
• Automate database and reporting processes using SQL, Python, PowerShell or similar scripting tools.
• Ensure database security, access controls, availability and compliance.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to capture data and reporting requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in database administration and data management.
• Consulting experience is preferred.
