Housekeeping Coordinator

About the role

The Housekeeping Coordinator acts as the communication hub for the housekeeping department, ensuring smooth interaction between front office, engineering, and guest services. This role supports daily operations, maintains records, and upholds Sofitel luxury standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate room status updates with Front Office and liaise with Engineering for repairs.
• Maintain accurate housekeeping logs, update the Property Management System, and prepare daily assignment sheets.
• Handle guest requests, VIP room preparations, and follow up on complaints.
• Assist in room allocation, monitor staff productivity, and support supervisors during peak periods.
• Ensure compliance with cleanliness, hygiene, and brand standards, and help implement SOPs.

Required profile

• Previous experience in housekeeping or hotel operations, preferably in a luxury hotel.
• Familiarity with PMS systems (Opera is a plus).
• Strong communication, organizational abilities, and ability to work under pressure.
• Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Attention to detail and a professional demeanor.

Required skills

• Opera PMS (or similar Property Management System)
