Mechanical Site Engineer – Data Center Projects

About the role

Decima International is seeking a detail‑oriented Mechanical Site Engineer to supervise the mechanical works of data‑center projects. The role is based onsite and focuses on HVAC and chilled‑water systems, ensuring that all installations meet design, quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and verify contractor installation of mechanical systems across data‑center construction activities.
• Confirm compliance with approved design documents, specifications, quality requirements and applicable standards.
• Oversee installation of chilled‑water piping, CRAH/CRAC units, pumps, valves, expansion systems and heat‑rejection equipment.
• Review contractor submissions such as shop drawings, P&IDs, method statements, ITPs, risk assessments and installation documentation.
• Provide technical comments and coordinate resolution of design, installation and quality issues.
• Coordinate mechanical interfaces with electrical, controls, ICT and BMS teams to ensure multidisciplinary alignment.
• Support commissioning readiness and phased hand‑over activities in mission‑critical environments.

Required profile

• Strong mechanical site supervision experience, preferably in data‑center environments.
• Solid technical knowledge of HVAC and chilled‑water systems.
• Familiarity with data‑center cooling requirements, redundancy concepts and live‑environment works.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
