OT Cybersecurity Engineer

About the role

The OT Cybersecurity Engineer protects industrial control systems and operational technology environments from cyber threats. The role ensures the reliability and continuity of critical infrastructure by implementing security controls, assessing risks, and responding to incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) controls and related requirements.
• Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments for OT environments.
• Monitor industrial networks, detect, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity threats.
• Design and maintain secure architectures that integrate OT and IT systems.
• Lead incident investigation, emergency response, and recovery activities.
• Deliver cybersecurity awareness and training programs for OT personnel.
• Perform regular audits, assessments, and reporting to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Manage cybersecurity technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection.
• Coordinate with vendors for updates and patching of OT assets without disrupting production.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience securing Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and OT environments.
• Proven experience implementing National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) controls.
• Experience in sectors such as cement manufacturing, industrial automation, oil & gas, or utilities is preferred.

Required skills

• Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and SCADA environments.
• Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection solutions.
• Knowledge of ISA/IEC 62443, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and NCA ECC controls.
• Vulnerability assessment, incident response, threat hunting, and patch management.
• Familiarity with GICSP, CISSP, CISM, ISA/IEC 62443 certifications, and CEH.
