Seasonal Chief Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Seasonal Chief Engineer to lead the engineering and maintenance operations of Mövenpick Hotel & Residences Riyadh. The role ensures all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and structural systems operate flawlessly, delivering a safe and comfortable environment for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Direct daily engineering activities across guest rooms, public areas, heart‑of‑house spaces and residences.
• Manage major plant equipment including HVAC, chillers, boilers, electrical substations, fire‑life‑safety systems and water‑treatment facilities.
• Oversee a preventive maintenance programme to minimise downtime and extend asset life.
• Develop and control the department’s OpEx and CapEx budgets, driving energy‑conservation and waste‑management initiatives.
• Negotiate and monitor contracts with vendors, ensuring compliance with service level agreements.
• Ensure 100 % compliance with Saudi building codes, civil‑defence regulations and Accor sustainability standards.
• Lead, mentor and develop the engineering team, supporting Saudisation and cross‑department collaboration.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 5–8 years of experience in hotel or large‑scale facilities engineering, preferably in a seasonal or fixed‑term role.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, vendors and large‑scale technical projects.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi regulations and Accor brand standards.
