Tank Superintendent (Construction)

About the role

The Tank Superintendent will lead the construction of field‑erected tanks and related structural steel works. Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will ensure that all contractor activities are executed safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate construction contractors for assigned tank projects to maximise productivity and maintain the project schedule.
• Monitor daily progress against the Contractor’s Project Execution and HSE Management Plans.
• Assist in detailed day‑to‑day planning of field activities and resource forecasting.
• Review and report cost trends, scope changes, and schedule impacts to management.
• Ensure effective communication with stakeholders and maintain strong relationships with contractors.
• Verify compliance with contract terms, company policies, and safety procedures.

Required profile

• 10‑15 years of experience in tank construction, structural steel erection, or similar heavy‑industrial projects.
• Proven track record of safety implementation and quality assurance performance.
• Strong ability to interpret and enforce project execution and HSE plans.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and the capacity to manage multiple site activities simultaneously.
