Accountant – Finance Operations

About the role

Dar, a leading international consulting firm, is looking for a qualified Accountant to join its finance team. The role involves supporting day‑to‑day accounting operations, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily accounting transactions accurately in the ERP system.
• Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure proper documentation.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjustments as needed.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities.
• Process accounts payable and receivable, issue invoices and payment vouchers.
• Support payroll coordination and employee reimbursements when required.
• Maintain fixed‑asset registers and depreciation schedules.
• Help prepare financial reports, budgets and audit schedules.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, company procedures and accounting regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting practices.
• Ability to work accurately under deadlines and manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP or accounting systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with financial reporting tools.
