Analyzer Technician

About the role

INTECH Automation Intelligence is looking for an Analyzer Technician to join its Operations & Maintenance Field Services team in Saudi Arabia. You will play a key role in installing, maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting a range of process analyzers across Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Utility projects.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission, and maintain process analyzers such as Gas Chromatographs, Emerson Micro Motion Coriolis meters, Fork Density meters, and GE Ultrasonic Flow Meters.
• Perform preventive and remedial maintenance, calibration, and loop testing to ensure accurate instrument performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair sensor, transmitter, and analyzer faults, replacing defective components as needed.
• Support PLC/DCS & SCADA integration, handling communication protocols (HART, Modbus, Profibus) and ensuring proper data flow.
• Work with gas detection, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems in hazardous area classifications.
• Interpret and follow technical drawings, P&IDs, loop diagrams, and wiring schematics.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in preventive and remedial maintenance within the Oil & Gas sector.
• DAE in Electronics (or equivalent) with a preferred 2‑year instrumentation apprenticeship.
• Proven ability to work safely in explosion‑proof and intrinsically safe environments.

Required skills

• Instrumentation knowledge (pressure, temperature, level, flow sensors).
• Experience with gas chromatographs, Coriolis meters, density analyzers, ultrasonic flow meters.
• Calibration and maintenance of process analyzers.
• Loop checking and communication protocol expertise (HART, Modbus, Profibus).
• PLC/DCS & SCADA system familiarity.
• Gas detection system operation.
• Pneumatics and hydraulics basics.
• Reading P&IDs, loop diagrams, wiring schematics.
