About the role
The Assistant Project Manager supports project managers in monitoring project activities, preparing documentation, and ensuring compliance with governance and risk management procedures within a government environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in tracking project schedules and monitoring implementation.
- Coordinate preparation of project documents such as terms of reference, specifications, charters, and deliverables.
- Prepare detailed work plans, budget estimates, and project requirement data.
- Support the activation of project monitoring mechanisms, risk management systems, and periodic progress reporting.
- Update project status and data in the Enterprise Project Management System for dashboard reporting.
- Facilitate administrative tasks including payment follow‑up and issuance of completion letters.
- Participate in stakeholder meetings to share progress and obtain approvals.
- Assist in ensuring adherence to standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Help develop corrective plans for identified risks and support project closure activities.
