Big Data and Application Security Architect

About the role

The organization seeks a senior architect to design and secure end‑to‑end Big Data and Business Intelligence solutions. You will lead the security architecture for data warehouses, analytics platforms, and related applications, ensuring compliance with corporate security policies.

Key responsibilities

• Assess application security requirements and align them with security policies and standards.
• Identify data, architectural and other security risks, and define compensating controls.
• Evaluate gaps in existing security infrastructure and propose remediation road‑maps.
• Collaborate with the Security & Accounts Management team to design and implement secure solutions.
• Implement Big Data security controls for audit, authentication, authorization, high availability and encryption.
• Manage patching, upgrades and lifecycle of Big Data stacks.
• Handle multi‑petabyte data repositories and ensure secure data handling at scale.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years of progressive IT experience, preferably with security certifications (ISC2, ISACA, SANS, EC‑Council).
• Proven experience in information security architecture, especially application and data security.
• Deep knowledge of Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence and Data Analytics solutions.
• Experience assessing and securing BI and Big Data applications across large, geographically dispersed organizations.
• Strong communication, leadership and consulting skills.
