Business Applications Manager

About the role

The Business Applications Manager leads the strategy, operation and continuous improvement of the organisation’s enterprise applications, including ERP, sales, POS, HR and mobile solutions. You will ensure systems are stable, secure and aligned with business objectives while driving digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full lifecycle of business applications (ERP, POS, HRMS, WMS, mobile apps), ensuring availability, performance and reliability.
• Lead Level 2/3 support, manage incidents, change requests and system enhancements.
• Manage a team of functional consultants, analysts and support specialists, set KPIs and foster skill development.
• Collaborate with department heads to gather requirements, map processes and implement improvements across finance, sales, supply chain, HR and manufacturing.
• Drive application‑related projects such as new system implementations, upgrades, module roll‑outs and integrations, including UAT, training and go‑live activities.
• Maintain vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, monitor SLAs and control application budgets.
• Supervise integration architecture, APIs and middleware, ensuring data accuracy, consistency and security for BI and data‑warehousing teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, MIS or related field.
• 8‑10 years of experience managing business applications, preferably in FMCG, retail or manufacturing.
• Proven leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Strong understanding of finance, supply chain, sales, retail operations and procurement processes.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
