Business Development Manager, Oil & Gas

AWS is building deep capability across the full energy value chain in the Middle East, and this role sits at the heart of that effort. As a Technical Business Developer on the AWS Energy team you will own the regional strategy for energy, identifying where data and AI can generate insights and accelerate digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and own a go‑to‑market strategy for midstream and downstream energy segments, targeting priority use cases and customers across the region.
• Engage VP‑ and C‑level leaders at major energy companies, building trusted advisory relationships and linking operational challenges to AWS solutions.
• Create technical content such as whitepapers, reference architectures and solution briefs for digital twins, carbon management and advanced process control.
• Collaborate with partners, account teams and systems integrators to co‑develop solutions for refining, pipeline and IoT operations.
• Identify, qualify and drive new business opportunities, maintaining a robust pipeline and providing accurate forecasts to leadership.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience developing, negotiating and executing business agreements in the Energy & Utilities sector.
• Proven ability to present complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences, including C‑suite executives.
• Experience with data and AI technologies (AI/ML, GenAI, analytics, databases, storage) and advanced compute (accelerated compute, HPC, visual/spatial compute, IoT).
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; Master’s degree is a plus.
